FAQ

  • Admin hours are Mon – Friday 9am to 5pm EST. If you are already a client your and therapist will get back with you in 24-48 hours. Appointments are by appointment only and each therapists schedule for appointments differ.

  • For new clients: Leave a voicemail or use our contact page . We will get in touch with you within 1-2 business days.
    ​If you have an urgent question then you may need to call the crisis line at 1-800-273-8255, dial 988, or dial 911 or go to the nearest Urgent Care or Emergency Room.​

  • Either submit a contact form, click on make an appointment, or call us at 616-209-8854.
    ​Based on your criteria for a therapist, we will either set up a free 15-Minute Consultation with one of our therapists, put you on a waiting list until the right therapist is available for you, or refer you for services elsewhere.

  • A consultation is a free, 15-minute phone/video call scheduled with you and the therapist to get to know one another and feel out if it is a good fit.

    This appointment ensures that scheduling, type of therapy, and the vibe is right for both of you.

    As therapists, we are held to strict ethics to make sure that you are provided with therapy that can help you and so if a therapist does not feel that they have the skill set to help, they will provide you with a referral to someone that is better suited.

    If you feel like the match is not a good fit, your therapist will not take this personally as they understand the importance of this component of therapy!

  • Availability is constantly changing! To be sure call us at 616-209-8854, submit a contact form to find out or visit out simple practice scheduling page. If one of our therapist cannot see you within a timely manner, we will provide you with the options of getting on the waitlist and/or we will provide your with referrals.

  • Please reach out to your therapist directly or cancel on your online profile

  • You must notify your therapist at least 24 hours before your appointment or it will be considered a late cancellation.
    Your appointment time is reserved for you.

    If you need to cancel a session, please do so with as much advance notice as possible. Your therapist reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee for canceling your appointment within 24 hours of the appointment or you do not show for your scheduled appointment The cost is the full rate of their session fee ($175).

Insurance & Payment

  • We accept Credit/Debit card, and HSA and Flexible Spending Accounts.
    Insurance coverage and/or reimbursement depend on the plan you have purchased. Your therapist is able to discuss payment options and insurance benefits with you during your appointment.

  • Each therapist takes different types of insurance. One therapist might take insurance that another therapist cannot. Click [here} or a list of every insurance we accept.

  • All of our licensed clinicians can take your insurance if out of network however, your insurance determines whether they will reimburse you for the service. After the session, we can provide you with something called a superbill for you to provide to your insurance company. Depending on your plan benefits, you may be able to receive reimbursement.

  • Each therapist has their own preferences and they can work with you individually to find if there are options available. 

  • Each therapist’s private pay rate is different, as they are all independent contractors. Typically, it will range between $125 to $175 a session for individual therapy. This price will differ for couples/family therapy. This rate is different for services with a trainee versus a limited or fully licensed therapist

    Therapist trainees provide low-cost rates of $40 per session.

  • If you have someone that you would like to pay for your therapy services, you can sign a release form for them to discuss payment with us.
